Brewery Update

It is with a heavy heart that I write this blog telling you that after 13 years we have closed the doors at our Citrus Heights location, The Oasis. In these economic times the decision to close the Oasis allows us to focus on our strength: making high quality, award-winning beer. We are closing the Oasis so we can focus on our original restaurant and brewpub and continue provide our customers with world class craft beer and fantastic food.

I want to dispel some rumors that have been floating around the brewing scene at this time:
  • Our Town and Country location is OPEN for business as usual.
  • We did not declare bankruptcy
  • We are not withdrawing from distributing our beers to the greater Sacramento area, Bay Area, and Southern California Markets.
As an aside, any kegs and taps that were purchased from The Oasis can be returned to our Town and Country Brewpub to get your deposit refunded.

While there will be some changes in our product line we will still have all our tasty craft beers available at our brewpub and in finer markets, bars and restaurants. Stay tuned here, we have some great events, beer releases and announcements that will be made in short time.

Cheers,
Peter Hoey, Brewmaster
Sacramento Brewing Company

I am so sad to hear of the closing of the Oasis! My husband and I loved the restaurant and went there often. Not often enough, I guess. We celebrated several birthdays and other events in the banquet room. Lots of memories. We will miss it!

Now all you gotta do is fire the Employees at Town and Country that are GIVING AWAY beers/drinks in exchange for tips.

Oasis is where I met my best friend and long time co-conspirator. It was on St Patricks Day 1998. The occasion was the fund raiser for Rio Linda Bale Ale. I still have a bottle and the brewer!
We have gone there every year for our "anniversary". We will just have to go to El Paseo Lane this year.

What a shame, we need a good brew / pub in the Fair Oaks area.

I'm bummed, too..as a Citrus Hts resident, I always considered the Oasis my "home" pub. See you at T&C, then.
